Will Randy Moss be Staying in Oakland?

Lane Kiffin, Oakland Raiders' new head coach, said Tuesday that he fully expects to see Randy Moss decked in Silver and Black in the upcoming season, not the oft-rumored Green and Gold, Green Bay Packers fans have been wary of.

It is reported that this rumor has not distracted the Green Bay Packers as they prepare for the upcoming season - which now includes a Thanksgiving Day stomping of the Detroit Lions! (With Favre on the field on what I consider THE PERFECT day for a football game, I might save myself some Turkey Day calories - you don't want that tryptophan to put you to sleep for the second half!)

"We're Still Plugging Along..."

At least that is what Green Bay Packers' GM Ted Thompson recently said regarding free agency. Hopefully there is a plan in place to bring back the running game and give Brett Favre a few guys to throw to, THEN we should be all set to see the Green Bay Packers go straight to the Super Bowl!

Making Game Day Plans?

While we still have to wait a few weeks for the actual Green Bay Packers 2007-2008 schedule to be announced, we know the following teams will sweat the Pack visiting their home turf: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and the same place finisher from NFC West either the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, or the St. Louis Rams (running out of time to confirm who that is - will report back). Then at home the Green Bay Packers will obviously play host to the other NFC teams, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and the same place finisher from the NFC South either the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Have you added your name to the ticket list?

If you haven't already, add your name (or your great-grandchildren's name) to the Green Bay Packers season-ticket list. Granted there are 70,000 people ahead of you waiting to get in to Lambeau Field, but what the heck?

You just need to send a written request and including the name, address, phone number and the number of Green Bay Packers tickets requested, limited to 4, to the Packers Ticket Office, P.O. Box 10628 Green Bay, WI 54307-0628.

Can't wait? You can get single-game tickets as soon as the 2007-2008 schedule is announced through a Wisconsin ticket broker. I like to work with a local Wisconsin company - my experience has been that they are most likely to have the greatest number of ticket options available at the fairest prices.

No Packers Game, No Problem....

Here we sit. Looking at "Spring ahead" tonight...one step closer to the Green Bay Packers upcoming season. With that said, there still is some other sports action in Wisconsin to get excited about - the Wisconsin Badgers Basketball team! Going for the Big 10 Championship - gearing up for March Madness. Ticket Prices at Lambeau Field Going Up

The face value of tickets in the bowl at Lambeau Field will increase this year by $5 a ticket says the Green Bay Packers' director of ticket operations. Still considerably lower than a comparable ticket's face value for the Minnesota Vikings or for the Chicago Bears, and about equal to that of a ticket to see the Detroit Lions.

Considering the fact that ESPN The Magazine ranked a game day at Lambeau Field as tops in all professional sports franchises the last 2 years, along with the fact that the Packers season tickets have been sold out since the 1960's, makes this increase moot.

Since we are all buying tickets for a game at Lambeau in the secondary market, this $5 won't matter. If you haven't been to Green Bay yet, this is your year. See Favre. See the Frozen Tundra.

Should've gone to nursing school....

From the Green Bay Packers' official website:

"Statements From Packers GM Ted Thompson (on Brett Favre's ankle surgery) "Quarterback Brett Favre underwent minor ankle surgery this morning in Green Bay. The procedure went as expected and he is recovering at this time. We expect no complications and that he will be cleared to participate in offseason workouts similar to his schedule in 2006."

Get well soon Brett. No pressure - we are all just depending on you.
